The launch of the Google Pixel and Pixel XL was accompanied by several other Google products, one of them was the most anticipated Daydream View VR headset.

While the Google Pixel phones went on sale a couple of weeks later, the Google Daydream View VR headset had to wait until November. However, it is finally here and in fact, some people are already enjoying this device on their Pixel phones. If you are interested, you can get one from the official Google Store, at Verizon Wireless or through giant retailer Best Buy. The View VR is valued at $79.

However, these are not the only options for buying a new Google Daydream VR headset. There is another way and in fact, you get a discount on the same. By buying a Google Pixel or Pixel XL phone via Google Project Fi, you will earn yourself a promo code for the Daydream View VR headset.

Google Project Fi is the company’s attempt to get into the telecommunications industry. The carrier relies on the infrastructure of Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S> Cellular alongside other public Wi-Fi hotspots to provide users with the best mobile connections. The service seamlessly transitions between the carriers and Wi-Fi hotspots to ensure that you get the best connections whatsoever.

Other than Verizon Wireless and the official Google Store, the search engine giant also sells the Pixel and Pixel XL phones via Project Fi. This makes it easier for anyone who wants to make the switch, but the team is throwing in a sweet deal involving the Daydream View VR headset.

Be warned that this deal is not permanent and in fact, Google Project Fi says that it will only be available while stock lasts. As noted earlier, you must first buy a Google Pixel or Pixel XL phone through Fi and when done, you will receive a promo code in your email within four weeks after the phone is shipped. To redeem this code, you need to visit the Google Store before the last day of this year since it will expire after this date.

Google Project Fi warns that the promo codes are not meant for transfer to other persons, redeeming cash and are meant for one-time use, with no balance after this use. Google will not take part in any cases where the promo codes are stolen, lost or expired, so make sure you redeem it before the said date. Unfortunately, this promotion only works for those in the U.S. and one must be aged 13 and above and owns a Google Payments account.
