Call of Duty World War II developer Sledgehammer games have some interesting news to share as the team confirmed they have worked hard and efficiently to ensure the differences are evident in PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
The world of consoles is moving towards a more PC-like experience. Console gamers now have the option to choose between an entry level pricing that displays games at 1080p while the overpowered machines can handle the same games in 4K resolution with the best visual fidelity.
Only when AAA titles take full advantage of the hardware specifications, it justifies the price tag of $400 or above you spend on a next generation console.
Speaking to the exclusive Playstation magazine, Sledgehammer Games Michael Condrey, co-founder of the company personally assured that players will have a lot of things to look forward to. “We have spent a solid two and half years in the game. The team wanted to deliver an
authentic, gritty world war experience. Throughout the years, our focus shifted to modern day warfare but when we go back to our roots, we really want to impress the players. Longtime fans of Call of Duty series are sure to enjoy what is in offer,” said Condrey.
“I think the team at Sledgehammer games have done a great job in bringing the epic World War to life. We made the decision to return to the roots of COD almost three years ago and now it looks like our decision was the right way to go,” commented Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision, the publisher of Call of Duty World War II.
Specific details on how different WWII will be on the PS4 Pro and the Xbox One X console were not revealed. While the Playstation 4’s 4K console is widely available in the market, Microsoft is yet to launch and get players their Xbox One X experience. The console stocks are already running out with major retailers and not everyone may get the opportunity to play it on the Xbox console this November when Call of Duty gets launched.
From what we have seen so far, it will definitely support 4K gameplay at least at 30fps, look much better with various graphical tweaks and an overall immersive experience unlike the older PS4 and Xbox One S consoles which are still limited by their hardware counterparts. Either way, as long as the gameplay and story is great in Call of Duty World War II is a compelling title, it will reach well and good.
