Xiaomi Mi 7 will have an Optimized Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Processor

Xiaomi Mi 7

The popular smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is working with Qualcomm. The two companies are rumored to be building a fully optimized version of the Snapdragon 845 for their upcoming Xiaomi Mi 7 smartphone.

After the Apple iPhone X got launched, almost all top and happening smartphone manufacturers have triggered their manufacturing process. They want to make sure they don’t lose to their competitor even though the iPhone 19 is easily the most criticized phone in recent times. Based on the fact that Xiaomi recently joined the Wireless Power Consumption (WPC), it is expected that the upcoming Mi 7 will support wireless charging. The ability to simply place your phone on a pad and charge it is becoming the norm in all newer releases. Samsung has been offering it for a very long time now but this is when all the entry level models and many manufacturers have started showing interest in adopting wireless charging for their phones.

Large LED Display by Samsung

This new leak comes from an inside in China and sounds very plausible. The Xiaomi Mi 7 will not be launched until February, 2018 but the device will go into production by the month of November this year so as to meet the customer demand on launch day. The smartphone features a relatively large display which is supplied by Samsung. Obviously, it’s going to be an OLED display which will also have a finger print scanner embedded on the touchscreen.

Rumored Specifications

If true, this could be a ground breaking announcement considering the fact that even the iPhone X doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner embedded in the touch screen display. The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor made for the Mi 7 uses a 10nm low power chipset with Cortex A75 cores and powered by the latest Adreno 630 GPU. The system on chip also has a X20 LTE modem on it allowing the phone to reach internet download speeds up to 1.2 Gbps.

Rumored specifications of the Xiaomi Mi 7 suggest the phone may sport a large 6-inch OLED display with QHD resolution and when it uses the Snapdragon 845, the smartphone will have enough power to keep you going without slowing down.

The device is being readied to be announced along with flagship models like Samsung Galaxy S9 and the LG G7, as Xiaomi is extremely confident of being able to compete on equal terms. You should wait for a couple of months before the official announcement takes place.
