The SEMA expo is full of concept cars and joining the lineup is the Chevrolet Cruze along with the Malibu Blue Line.
Justifying the name tag, the cars are designed with a blue tone from the base. The blue tint is prominent on the windows, the badging and it has blue wheels. The interior accents are stitched with blue thread. A wide range of accessories are offered from the Chevrolet Performance division giving buyers more choices to customize their vehicle.
The auto manufacturer has confirmed that the Chevrolet Cruze which entered into the market as the RS hatch will have a 5JL performance brake package that they could go for. It will be available for purchase before the end of this year. The package enhances the braking system used in the car by adding large 11.8-inch Duralife rotors and all four brake calipers are painted red to distinguish them in the car.
Apart from these additions, the car will receive a low restriction air intake kit combined with performance exhaust. Both these will arrive in the middle of 2017. Meanwhile, the SG3 performance suspension kit is already available. On the exterior, the concept model uses a Genesis white paint which is quite an experimental idea. The designers said that this particular white is three layered and will look pure white under certain lighting conditions while in others it will look light grey.
On the edges of the car, you will spot a thin white line which is accentuated with 18-inch blue edge concept wheels wrapped with Michelin tires. The design aspect is carried throughout the car including the exclusive blue badges, black bowties and RS emblems. A chrome grille insert is available individually. Inside the car, you can spot the WGK interior trim kit, sport pedal covers and door sill plates.
The same design elements are carried out in the Malibu Blue line concept model. It has some unique features including the taillamp lens, tinted headlamp and black finish on the grille as well as the rear diffuser. It has a SCJ suspension kit using which buyers can lower the overall height of the body by 0.4 inches. Powered by a 2.0-liter engine, the model is capable of delivering up to 250 horsepower and the powertrain is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission system.
Chevrolet during the show will explain that all the components and kits sold for the new concept models is designed by the same team that built the car.
