Samsung has just launched the Galaxy Tab S3 at its main event in Barcelona, Spain, but this is not everything that the tech giant came with to the MWC 2017 all the way from South Korea.
After unveiling Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, as expected, the South Korean company moved on to the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S8. The phone has been in the rumors for ages and unlike last year where the Galaxy S7 was unveiled at the MWC, this year’s event has seen only the official launch date of the phone being confirmed.
Like the rumors had put it, Samsung Galaxy S8 will indeed be unveiled at an Unpacked event on March 29, 2017. So far, the UK has been confirmed as one of the countries that will play host to the event, but the company is expected to hold multiple events of the same kind in various cities across the globe, including London and New York City, here in the U.S.

While the company has not given out details of the specs and features of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8, the Unpacked event teaser gives us a glimpse of what will be the design of the phone. Indeed, the video confirms the curved design of the screen as well as very tiny bezels at the top and bottom of the handset. In addition, there is no suggestion of the presence of a physical home button on the bottom bezel, just like it has been put in the rumors.
The video takes us through a series of phones and their design changes up “until now” – with now representing the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8. Given the accuracy of the launch date rumors, it is also possible that the rumored release date of April 21 could materialize. However, we should know this and other details about the phone in a month’s time. Keep following!
