With the release of the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL drawing closer, the 2016 Pixel and Pixel XL prices are kind of getting more favorable.
Unlike the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, the popularity of the Google Pixel and Pixel XL has been hindered by their steep asking price, where the former will set you back a cool $650 whereas the latter has an asking price of $769 for the base models of 32GB.
If these price tags have been somehow a stumbling block for you, this latest deal is something you need to check out. Although not new, you can now grab the Google Pixel at a price of just $399.99 while the bigger Pixel XL will set you back a decent $449.99. These price tags are for the refurbished models with 32GB of storage on board and are available via Woot.
According to their description, these refurbished Google Pixel and Pixel XL units “may show slight sign of use” but they are fully functional with clean display screens with “potentially slightly scratched housings”, which shouldn’t be a big of a deal for anyone looking to get their hands on either phone at such a cut price.
Also, the seller notes that the listed Google Pixel and Pixel XL units will work perfectly with all GSM carriers such as AT&T and T-Mobile as well as CDMA carriers like Verizon and Sprint. So far, you can have the phones in a Quite Black color finish.
It’s not usual for Google phones to get discounted when the release of a newer model is on the horizon, but given that these are not coming from the Google Store, it’s understandable. The search engine company is expected to unveil the new Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL in a few months’ time, probably in October, just like last year’s Pixels.
