The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is the first Project Tango phone in the world, meaning that it supports the new augmented reality technology.
Released in November 2016, the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro has probably scared off some potential buyers due to its hefty price for a phone that other than AR, it has a less impressive hardware configuration, at least when talking about the processor. Apparently, someone has realized this and as a result, $50 is off the usual price tag of the Phab 2 Pro, which is usually $499.99.
Lenovo has listed the Phab 2 Pro for just $449.99 and even though not as huge as some may expect, this is probably a one-off chance for you to save a few bucks for yourself. Be warned that this deal is not available straightaway, rather, you need to make use of a coupon code, which is PHAB2PRO10. This code must be entered before checkout in order to chop the $50 off, otherwise, you will still have to part with the usual figure. The code will give you either gray or gold color variants and keep the same specs.
Speaking of specs, the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro has a mixed set of specs and features. It has an impressive display screen of 6.4 inches with a QHD resolution, but the processor under the hood is a midranger – a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz. The phone gets a decent 4GB RAM alongside 64GB of expandable storage.
Since augmented reality has a lot to do with the camera, the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro wins on this aspect. There is a great 16MP shooter on the back that comes with depth and motion tracking sensors as well as features such as PDAF and face detection. The front gets an 8MP shooter and can record up to 1080p videos. The fingerprint scanner is rear-mounted and there is a microUSB port for you.
Given the huge screen size and QHD resolution, the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro has a larger battery unit of 4050mAh with support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge technology.
