Huawei P10 Plus Leaks Reveal a Curved 5.5-inch QHD Display

Recently, notable tipster Evan Blass revealed a set of color variants for the Huawei P10, showing off gold, green and blue, however, there was no mention of the larger Huawei P10 Plus.

Huawei will be unveiling the P10 at the MWC 2017 in about 9 days and at the event, the company is also expected to unveil the Huawei P10 Plus, just like it happened with the 2016 release of the P9. Well, fresh details of this phone have emerged showing off a beautiful curved edge-to-edge design for the screen, similar to what we have been seeing from the likes of Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Huawei Mate 9 Pro.

This is not the first time we’ve heard rumors of a curved edge-to-edge display screen for the larger Huawei P10 Plus, but the latest leak gives out more details about the phone, including a different black color variant as opposed to what the standard P10 brings on the table. The Huawei P10 has been confirmed for the flat screen and while previous rumors have pointed to a 5.2-inch Full HD screen, the latest development claims that both Huawei P10 and P10 Plus will ship with a 5.5-inch QHD screen.

In addition to this, the phones will have a fingerprint scanner, the latest Kirin 960 processor that runs the Mate 9 as well as three storage options of 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB, just like it has been claimed in previous rumors. The back of the phone will still come with Leica branding and a dual-lens setup of two 12MP lenses while the front will have an 8MP shooter. As for the battery, recent reports have confirmed that the Huawei P10 will ship with a 3100mAh battery unit, 100mAh larger than the P9. Both handsets will be powered by Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box alongside the new EMUI 5.0 skin.

From what it appears, the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus will only be differentiated by their screen designs, where the former gets a flat screen and the latter has a curved screen. In addition, the fingerprint scanner of the Plus variant is located on the back, which means users get an on-screen home button. As for the Huawei P10, the scanner is mounted on the front panel. The rest of the specs remain unchanged for both models.

These is another set of the usual rumors that come before a device is released and given that we have only 9 days before the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus are released, we should be able to confirm every bit very soon.
