Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are the hottest smartphones in the market right now. The South Korean tech giant got just about everything right – be it the looks, the hardware, new features or even the software.
However, one thing that might put off some potential buyers of the two phones is the asking price. Unlike last year’s Galaxy S7 that had a launch price of about $670, the new Galaxy S8 takes this game to the next level, coming in priced at $750 – or $720 on Verizon, which is quite pricey (but definitely for some).
Well, in a bid to ensure that the Galaxy S8 and S8+ rack as many sales as possible during their early days, Samsung has amazing offers for those on Verizon, Sprint and AT&T (sorry T-Mobile folks). The South Korean tech giant is selling Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy S8 at just $666, down from $720 that is listed in other channels. As for the larger S8+, you’ll save an impressive $63, with the phone currently listed at $777.
Those using AT&T can grab the Galaxy S8 flagship for $693.75, down from the usual asking price of $750, while the Galaxy S8+ has received a discount of $63.75, thus setting you back $786.25. These are also the same prices for the Sprint models.
As usual with such cool deals, there’s a catch – or perhaps two. So far, you need to have a Samsung Shop app in order to get your hands on this deal. Most Sammy phones come with this app pre-installed, but if you own a Galaxy S7 and below, you might as well not be lucky. Apparently, the deals are only visible to those accessing the Samsung Shop app via another Galaxy S8 or S8+. What this means is that you’ll need to find someone who has already purchased an S8 in order to get any of these deals, otherwise, you’ll still have to pay the original amount.
