On August 23rd, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be announced and as a result, retailers have started getting their shelves ready for this beast by slamming interesting discounts on the Galaxy S8, which has now been around for three months.
The Galaxy S8 was announced on March 29 and started selling in the U.S. on April 21 priced at $750, but as at the time of this writing, you can grab one via B&H at a decent price tag of just $574.99. Originally, the retailer was selling the phone at a price of $724.99, but after this discount, it means you get to save a cool $150.
The S8 in question here is unlocked for the North American market and comes in midnight black color. This means that you can use the phone with any carrier in the country, be it AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon or Sprint. This is a great deal, considering that the other variants are available at $699 and other retailers are selling the same phone at about the same price.
B&H is selling you a brand new Samsung Galaxy S8 that includes a 5.8-inch curved Super AMOLED display screen with a QHD+ resolution, a Snapdragon 835 SoC mated with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded. The camera has a 12MP shooter on the back with f/1.7 aperture and OIS while the front gets an 8MP lens with the same aperture.
The battery on board is 3000mAh in capacity and supports fast charging technology via a USB-C port. Software-wise, the Galaxy S8 has Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and even though it will definitely take longer, you are guaranteed to receive the upcoming Android O OTA update when it starts rolling out to non-Google devices.
