Now that the king – Samsung Galaxy Note 7 – is dead, the field has been left open for other throne-seekers to battle for the hot seat.
The Google Pixel and iPhone 7 Plus have been touted as serious contenders for the seat, but very few have considered the HTC 10 as a worthy option. Well, to make its presence in the market felt, the Taiwanese tech giant has opted for a shortcut – offering the HTC 10 with other perks with an aim of attracting more buyers.
Last month, there was a $150 discount that was introduced for the HTC 10 and in fact, the deal is still here. But to make things even sweeter, the HTC has introduced another deal that will see all buyers of the 10 receive a free HTC Desire 626, HTC Desire 626s or the slightly weaker HTC Desire 530. If you have no room for another phone, buying a new HTC 10 from the official company store will also get you a free HTC RE Camera.
So, if you have been looking for something to replace your damaged Samsung Galaxy Note 7, there you have it. In fact, the HTC 10 has a lower price tag of $699 when compared to the $869 of the Note 7. As for the specs, there is a 5.2-inch SuperLCD5 screen that comes with a QHD resolution of 1440p, just like many other flagships. Under the hood, the HTC 10 has a Snapdragon 820 processor that is paired with a 4GB RAM as well as an Adreno 530 GPU. You get 32GB of onboard storage, with room to expand via a microSD card.
In case you didn’t know, the HTC 10 is actually the only phone that comes with OIS on its front-facing 5MP sensor, similar to what you get on the 12MP rear-facing camera. There is a 3000mAh battery to keep you going and this can be fast-charged using Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The version of Android on show is Marshmallow and even though HTC tried everything possible to strip it down, there is still a Sense 8 UI running on top of the stock Android OS.
So, if you have someone you’d wish to gift a phone or camera, make sure you check out this HTC 10 deal before this coming Sunday.
