The developers of the third part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake have just confirmed that the game will be accessible to PlayStation 5 players. In the recent past, some of Square Enix’s key policies pertaining to multiplatform releases have undergone significant changes. Because of this, there is a possibility that the last entry in the Final Fantasy 7 remake will be launched on Xbox.
The original Final Fantasy 7 was launched way back in 1997 for PlayStation. Even today, the gaming community considers it to be one of the best games to have been launched as a part of the franchise. In the last few years, one has seen different spin-offs being launched.

In 2015, a new remake trilogy was formally announced. While Final Fantasy 7 Remake was launched in 2020, 2024 witnessed the unveiling of Final Fantasy Rebirth. The last installment in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy is expected to come out sometime in 2027 or 2028.
While giving an interview to a publication, FF 7 Remake producer Yoshinori Kitase and director Naoki Hamaguchi gave a confirmation about the game arriving on PlayStation 5. For PS5 owners, this is great news as they will be able to play the entire trilogy using the same console. Hamaguchi also said that there are plans to launch new titles on a “wide range of platforms”. The statement given by Hamaguchi makes fans hopeful about the Final Fantasy Remake trilogy being available on consoles like the Xbox Series X/S.

Sometime in December, Hamaguchi stated that the development process of FF 7 Remake Part 3 was moving ahead at a good pace but they will not be able to provide any concrete details about it at the moment.
A couple of days ago, one had come across rumors about the Final Fantasy 7 Remake arriving on Switch 2. If the recent reports are anything to go by, there is a possibility of the trilogy being available on Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, PC and PS5 in the near future.
