Fire Emblem fans were in for a pleasant surprise when Nintendo announced that it was planning multiple games for its Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS gaming consoles, along with a game for smartphones.
While two games are being planned for Nintendo Switch, there were many more upcoming games for the Nintendo 3DS family. This announcement was made on Nintendo Direct by Doug Bowser, Nintendo’s Senior VP of Sales and Marketing from America. According to him, the Fire Emblem franchise has gained immense popularity over the recent years. As a result, both Fire Emblem fans and new gamers would have a lot of new games on various devices to test their skills.
Fire Emblem Heroes is an innovative RPG strategy game that will soon arrive on mobile platforms. The game is about two kingdoms that are always at loggerheads with each other and forever waging wars. Gamers can build up their army base by gathering as many Fire Emblem heroes as they can from all parts of the world. These heroes include both legendary heroes and new combatants. As the battle proceeds, some heroes become staunch associates while others become bitter rivals. Players control the army using touch and drag controls.
One of the many games to appear on the Nintendo 3DS range of consoles is the Fire Emblem Gaiden. Interestingly, this classic game was earlier available in the home country Japan. Thanks to its featuring on Nintendo, fans from all over the world can enjoy this game. Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is another game scheduled to arrive on this platform in mid May. Although the game draws its inspiration from the original 1992 game, it depicts various modern twists and involves crawling with your opponents to explore various dungeons. Characters Celica and Alm from the original game will find their way into the new game in a new pack.
As for the Nintendo Switch, this console will be home to a new mainland game that will be part of the Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn series. This game is currently in development and will officially be launched in 2018. Interestingly, the game is being developed such that players can try their hand at it when they are on the move. Fire Emblem Warriors is another game being developed by the team responsible for Hyrule Warriors that will come up shortly on Nintendo Switch. This game is expected to make its arrival this Fall. It is worth noting that the Warriors game will also be available for Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL fans.
