Samsung has started rolling out its August 2024 security patch update to several of its devices. This patch addresses 50 security issues in different devices across the globe.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G
Samsung initially rolled out the August 2024 security update for the carrier-unlocked Galaxy Z Flip 5G models in the United States a few days ago. It has now made the update available for the carrier-locked counterparts as well with the model number SM-F707U. The update is associated with the firmware version F707USQS9IXH1.

At present, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G receives its updates every quarter. Hence the next update can be expected in November or December.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2
The manufacturer is in the process of rolling out its August 2024 security patch for carrier-locked Galaxy Z Fold 2 handsets in the United States with the model number SM-F916U. The new firmware can be identified with version F916USQS7KXH1.
Other variants of the smartphone such as carrier-unlocked handsets and international models are expected to receive the updates soon when they are available.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro
After offering the One UI 6.1 update in May, Samsung is offering the first software update associated with version T636BXXS7CXH1 for the international variant of its Galaxy Z Tab Active 4 Pro tablet with the model number SM-T636B. The update will be available for the tablet in all markets other than South Korea.
The tablet is scheduled to receive quarterly updates. This indicates that the next security update is slated for the end of the year.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7
The manufacturer has started rolling out the August 2024 security update for its international 4G LTE Galaxy Tab S7 tablet bearing the model number SM-T875. The latest firmware is associated with version T875XXS8DXH1. The update will not introduce any new features, bug fixes, or performance improvements.
You can check the notification drawer of your device for the update alert. If you have not received any notification about the update, you can check for it manually in the Software Update section in the Settings app. You can also download the firmware from the manufacturer’s website and install it manually using Odin after taking a backup of your data.
