Just a day ago, developers of Gears of War 4 announced that they will be releasing new content that could be spoilers.
Viewers were warned and here’s a massive 20 minutes of gameplay from the opening mission in the game.
Most developers would love to keep things tightly wrapped up until the big launch date. The team at Coalition is not one such obviously as they have revealed over twenty minutes from the intro mission in Gears of War 4. It also indicates that these people are really confident of their product that they have the guts to show a major part of it. The introductory cinematic missions have always been one of the strong points of the title and the new mission dubbed ‘Prologue’ is no different.
Instead of being a simple mission, it brings back the best from the Gears of War world giving players an opportunity to play some of the key moments from the past games. The Locusts’ siege at Anvil gate, Marcus’s own nightmare, the Pendulum wars, Emergence Day and more. All of them are neatly combined into one amazing bundle giving players a chance to know what the franchise went through in the past.
Besides, the opportunity to play those glorious missions in full 1080p resolution with current generation graphics is plain awesome. Before the prologue, the video also has an introduction from Matt Searcy, lead campaign designer and Rod Fergusson, studio head at the Coalition studios.
The game’s total size on the Xbox One console is around 54.3 gigabytes. Microsoft has allowed Xbox One gamers to preload the game so that they could play it as soon as it is available on October 11th. A preload option for PC gamers is expected to be rolled out in the following days.
The entire gameplay video has been posted below that you could watch to your heart’s content and gear up for the big launch in a week’s time. Good news is, it’s not just Xbox One gamers but an entirely new community of PC gamers will be able to play Gears of War 4 on launch date.
Almost all Microsoft exclusives are coming to the PC platform except for Halo 5. And, this is also a good time to buy the Xbox One S Gears of War 4 2 TB bundle which includes an ultimate edition of the game and the new slimmer console which supports 4K playback with HDR capabilities.
