Google Nexus 6P (64GB) Gets an 11% Discount on India’s Flipkart, with a Further 5% off for Axis Bank Credit Cards

Nexus 6P

Perhaps it’s just about the best time to grab a new Google Nexus 6P, especially now that all the attention has turned to the new Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+.

In fact, India’s giant retailer, Flipkart, seems to be very much aware of the attention that Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are getting of late. As if to remind you that the Google Nexus 6P is still a great phone even though age is catching up with it, the retailer has discounted the phone by an apparent 11%. However, you could get an extra discount of 5% if at all you are using an Axis Bank Buzz credit card. You can also get some more discounts if you have an old phone that you feel like exchanging for a new one, but the valuation will vary depending on the condition and model or rather brand.

According to the retailer, the Google Nexus 6P is now selling at Rs 37,998, down from the usual Rs 42,998. Keep in mind that the Nexus 6P has up to three variants that include 32GB, 64GB and 128GB of storage. So far, the variant in question here has 64GB of storage and 3GB RAM.

Although the Nexus 6P has a few months left before it celebrates its second anniversary, the phone is still up there when it comes to design and performance. In fact, the latter aspect is the most important one here, especially since new phones are already in the market with some mind-blowing specs. Despite shipping with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC and 3GB RAM, real-world performance of the Nexus 6P is still as good as you may want it to be.

It gets even better as the device has a promise for Android O update now that it is already running the developer preview version. If you are not a developer, you can also grab the latest Android 7.1.2 Nougat via an OTA update right after you power on the phone.

Other specs of the Google Nexus 6P include a 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED screen, a 12.3MP rear camera, 8MP selfie camera, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3450mAh battery with fast charging technology. And yes, it has a USB-C port, despite being a 2015 model.
