The guessing games regarding the names of the new tablet have started doing the rounds. There are also rumors regarding the time of release for the upcoming Google tablet, the Nexus 7 or the Pixel 7.

Nougat or Andromeda

Some reports also claim that the Nexus 7 or the Pixel 7 will have the Android 7.1 Nougat OS. Mobi Picker claims that the tablet will run on the Andromeda OS, which is a combination of Android and Chrome features offering a highly functional OS. It is compatible with Chromebook OS and will also have some enhanced Chrome applications, so that the result is one of the most flexible OS created by Google.

PC Type Performance

Whatever the name, the Google Nexus 7 or the Google Pixel 7, the device will offer a PC like class of performance. According to the source, the hybrid operating system, the Andromeda, will offer a laptop like experience to the device, similar to how Apple has offered with the iPad Pro.

High End Tablet

Many tech bloggers have projected the details of this high-end tablet. They claim that the new Google Nexus 7 or Pixel 7 will come with a 7 inches screen and a resolution of 1440 x 2560. According to Tech Radar, there are no details regarding the design of the upcoming Google tablet. However, projections are towards a design similar to the Google Pixel and the Google Pixel XL. It will probably come with a metal body in two tones. The processor will be the Snapdragon, 820 and it will come with a RAM of 4 GB.

The internal storage will be 64 GB and it will have the fingerprint scanner. However, there will be no microSD slot, as Nexus devices usually don’t have it. The tab will have a camera of 13 MP, but it is also possible that it is 12 MP, as both the Pixel and the Pixel XL along with the Huawei P9 come with this feature.
