Google is well known when it comes to rolling out regular updates to its popular apps and services. With the Google Play Store being one of them, the search engine giant has rolled out a new version that brings some significant tweaks to the interface as well as how the app works.

In a new discovery, it appears that the Play Store may soon be updated with a feature that brings it closer to the main Google search platform. Apparently, the company is testing a new search suggestions feature, but this feature has not appeared on all devices just yet. When you search for an app inside the Google Play Store, you will now be able to see more suggestions appearing just below the search field. This is nothing similar to the search suggestions that expand from the search bar itself when you start keying in the query, but if you’ve searched an image before, you’ll for sure get acquainted with this feature fast enough.

The suggested search terms are covered in green, the background color of the Google Play Store. In this way, you can easily see them, analyze each one and pick the one you wish to with your finger or thumb.

Keep in mind that this update is not confirmed just yet and in fact, it has been seen on a limited set of devices, according to Android Police. We have yet to see such a change on our end, but for sure, it would be a welcome tweak from Google. It is not the first time Google has rolled out such tests for new features, who knows, all Google Play Store users might soon be able to enjoy the new search suggestions on their devices, but this could probably start with those on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
