The holiday season is upon us and once again, Google Project Fi wants you to have the best moments possible thanks to its annual holiday treat.
When Google Project Fi first offered this promo, the service was only available for the Motorola Nexus 6. At the time, fans got a Fi-branded case, portable battery pack and a pair of headphones. The following treat saw a Fi-branded LEGO given to users and last year, they received a $10 Google Play credit.
This year, Google Project Fi subscribers will enjoy a fun ski game that is accompanied by an in-flight Wi-Fi code. To get your hands on the prize, Fi users must play a game of controlling a figure skiing down a mountain and like in real life, the player must watch out for any obstacles while at the same time taking advantage of speed boosts. Since this is a game, you will also be able to check out your current scores in the top left corner and when done, you’ll get a free in-flight Wi-Fi code courtesy of Gogo. This code will remain valid until the end of March next year.
Of course, Project Fi users can take part in the game at any time, however, the rules are clear: only one code for each player. On the brighter side, the Fi “holiday treat” game is not limited to subscribers, rather, anyone can also take part. Unfortunately, only those using the MVNO will be eligible for the prize at the end.
Looking at what is on offer this year, it’s true to say that these holiday gifts have gradually been losing meaning and probably they’ll be no more in the near future. However, it’s possible that this diminishing importance of what’s on offer may be as a result of the growing number of Project Fi users that has made it harder – and more expensive – for Google to offer top-notch goodies for everyone.
