Video gaming has become part and parcel of the current world with countless titles and series available to choose from.
Correspondingly, rating is inevitable but has become quite hard for video gamers as preference changes from one person to another. All the same, a research has come up with a list of the top video games of all time.
The round up was based on several parameters: the list consists of console video games released between 1980 to date and includes only those titles for most current consoles. Besides, user reviews, Metacritic scores, and researchers own personal encounter with the games were taken into consideration. Unfortunately, popular franchises like Minecraft and Fallout though popular did not make it to top ten at least according to this research. Here is the list in ascending pecking order:

Tetris has since then become the best-selling paid-downloaded game of all time.
Released on November 15, 2001, Halo is available on Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, as well as iOS and Widows Phone. The game is a military science fiction first-person shooter video game series developed by Bungie. The game is currently under Microsoft’s Subsidiary studio, 343 Industries. The tech giant has clung on the addictive series even after the original developer Bungie acquired its independence and went further to stop developing titles for the series. The current owners have just released ‘Halo: The Master Chief Collection’ for Xbox One and are also reportedly working on ‘Halo 5’.
Pokémon was first released on September 28, 1998, and is available on all Nintendo Platforms. The game involves capturing colorful monsters that inhabit the game’s world. Players who are known as trainers roam real life locations to capture, pet the creatures and use them to fight other trainers.

Even though the tales have changed through the ages, players have been able to follow through and the series has become one of the most loved games of all time.
‘Super Mario Bros‘
Nintendo’s ‘Super Mario Bros’ was launched in September 1985 and is now available on all Nintendo consoles.
