At CES 2017, Honor 6X was announced.
A comparison between Huawei Honor 6X, Google Nexus 5X and ZTE Azon 7 should give you an idea of its specifications, pricing and features to buy the right smartphone in 2017.
Following 5X, the new Honor 6X is the flagship smartphone from the company with affordable pricing. It sells for $249 in the United States and the high end model is $299. So, how does it compare against the other top players in the market? Here you go.
The newly announced Honor 6X and ZTE Axon 7 have the same 5.5-inch display while the Nexus 5X has a smaller 5.2-inch display. The Axon 7 has a resolution of 2560×1440 while the other phones sport a 1080p display. If you are looking for a smaller phone, the Google powered Nexus is an ideal choice whereas the highest resolution is offered by the ZTE phone. However, the brand isn’t known for their build quality that gives Honor a winning edge.
While the 6X has an upgraded Kirin 655 processor, both Nexus 5X and ZTE Axon 7 sport flagship processors. The former has a Snapdragon 808 while the latter uses the best Snapdragon 820. For a phone getting launched in 2017, Honor sounds underpowered and doesn’t seem like a great choice on paper. However, real world performance may vary.
Introducing dual lens camera with a 12 megapixel lens and a 2 megapixel lens, Honor 6X is going the iPhone 7 route. The primary model will take photos while the secondary 2MP will add the depth of field effect making pictures look better even in low light. Nexus 5X has 12MP while ZTE Axon 7 has a huge 20 megapixel camera. But, Honor has this new dual cam setup that just might appeal to some buyers.
We can easily take the Google Nexus 5X out of this list as it has always been known to sport low battery life. The Honor 6X wins hands down with 3340 mAh battery followed by Axon 7 with a 3250 mAh battery. It’s all about optimized software and with a large resolution, the Axon might lose to 6X in terms of battery life. So, we have a clear winner here in this regard.
Going for the Honor 6X and the ZTE Axon 7 is easy because they are the best inexpensive phones priced at $250 and $200 respectively. Nexus 5X will cost $300 and is an ageing phone at the moment. The 4GB version of the 6X is priced at $299 but it’s only for people who rely heavily on multi-tasking.
There is no clear winner here because preferences could always vary and brand value matters. ZTE may lose to Honor 6X in terms of build quality, brand integrity. However, they have the best specifications at unbelievably low pricing. The Honor 6X vs ZTE Axon 7 vs Nexus 5X is an intense battle where you could choose your phone based on whether you need the best battery, display or the price. The 6X wins in terms of battery and brand while ZTE phone with its higher resolution will surely appease hardcore multimedia users.
