Just recently, a report came out confirming that HTC 10 will be receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update in the closing stages of this month or early next month.
In the report, it was noted that those using the HTC 10 in Europe will be the first to receive the update to Android 7.0 Nougat. However, there was still no mention of what will happen to other markets across the globe. Despite this uncertainty, the rest of the world shouldn’t wait long for the update to come their way once it is stable and rolling.
Before this recent report, HTC had confirmed that the 2016 and 2015 flagships will be receiving the Nougat treat in Q4 2016. As it is, we are left with a little over one month before this quarter runs out. If the latest rumors are anything to go by, the HTC 10 should be ready to fulfil this promise as mentioned earlier with an update in the coming days.
As noted above, the HTC 10 Android 7.0 Nougat update is rumored to be ready towards the end of this month or early December. Apparently, the new update is “getting close” to being ready and in fact, the latest build is stable, meaning that things should be finalized very soon. One of the major highlights of the new OS is that it could bring the elusive Night Mode feature to the HTC 10.
Even though HTC has not talked about it, we expect that the whole thing should start happening in the next few weeks. On matters regarding the HTC One M9, the company should also avail the update on this device at about the same time as the 2016 flagship. There was also talk of the HTC One A9 getting the Nougat treat alongside the HTC 10 and One M9 – well, this should also be happening – but as for now, there is still no official date for the updates.
