Last year HTC released the One M9 and later on followed it with a One A9 midrange phone. This year, we have already seen the HTC 10, a phone that has found it hard to impress in a world where Samsung dominates the proceedings.
Apparently, the Taiwanese tech giant has plans to release a new phone dubbed HTC 11. Whether this name will stand or not is still a mystery. Furthermore, it cannot be confirmed whether this phone will indeed come before the end of this year like the rumors suggest. If anything, the HTC 11 should be a successor to the current flagship, HTC 10.
A number of leaks have made their way to different online media showcasing the specs and features of the supposed HTC 11. It has even been claimed that the company is in its final stages, meaning that the phone could be ready for the busy holiday season that is coming in really fast. Since the company is aware of the competition posed by the likes of Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, LG V20, Google Pixel XL and even the likes of OnePlus 3, it is rumored to be preparing some really impressive specs and features.
If rumors are to be believed, the HTC 11 will come with a larger 5.5-inch QHD screen in order to compete with the aforementioned players. This would be a shift from the 5.2-inch screen size used on the HTC 10, but this should be a welcome move for many since 5.5-inch panels are now the new standard.
Recently, a number of Android OEMs have made are said to be working on curved displays. In fact, Xiaomi has already released a Mi Note 2 that looks like a Galaxy S7 Edge or Galaxy Note 7 and the upcoming Huawei Mate 9 is rumored to be based on the same curved display design. As a result, the HTC 11 could also feature a curved display along with other features.
HTC 10 is one of the few 2016 phones that have the best cameras, but the HTC 11 is expected to make this even better, though the rear snapper might keep the same 12MP lens while the front will get a better 8MP snapper with OIS. Keep in mind that these are pure rumors and HTC has not confirmed anything, meaning that they are subject to change. Keep following and we’ll bring you the latest reports about this rumored HTC phone and other news.
