HTC has sent out press invitations for an event that will be held on November 24th and it seems the company is bringing the HTC Desire 10 Pro along with it.
The phone has already been listed on the company’s India website, an indicator that it is indeed coming, however, the Taiwanese tech giant did not include the Desire 10 Pro in the media invites. Nonetheless, the gold metal rims seen on the front and back of the midrange phone are evident on the images for the upcoming event, propelling further speculations that the phone is indeed coming on the said date.
Like many other HTC devices, you will love the design of the Desire 10 Pro. There are four color variants that include valentine lux, polar white, royal blue and stone black. The phone is made of metal and plastic, but this doesn’t make it feel cheap. The rear has a dual-tone LED flash camera and a fingerprint scanner.
In terms of specs, the HTC Desire 10 Pro has a 5.5-inch Full HD screen that is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass technology. Under the hood, HTC went for a MediaTek Helio P10 processor and paired it with a RAM of 4GB and inbuilt storage of 64GB. The storage is expandable, just in case the default offering is not enough. Still, there is a smaller variant that carries 32GB of expandable storage and 3GB RAM, but whether or not both models will be launched in India is still a mystery.
The camera of the HTC Desire 10 Pro has a 20MP sensor on the back with f/2.2 aperture while the front sports a great 13MP selfie sensor with the same aperture. The battery unit is 3000mAh and there is support for dual-SIM connectivity. In terms of software, the Desire 10 Pro ships with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but it should be able to get Android Nougat at some point next year.
Whether or not the lower end HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle will follow the Desire 10 Pro in heading to India is still unknown, but it is likely that both models will be available.
