Last month, an alleged Huawei Honor V9 made an appearance on China’s TENAA and in the process confirmed a few vital specs of the Honor V8 successor. In another separate development, the same Huawei Honor V9 has now been confirmed fully, with details of the specs and features alongside the price revealed.
The TENAA listing revealed a device with model number DUK-TL30 and according to the latest report, this is the rumored Huawei Honor V9 smartphone. Apparently, the phone is almost ready for release, but there is still no word on the specific date as to when this will be happening.
Despite the lack of details on the official release date of the Huawei Honor V9, the latest info comes with specs and pricing details of this phone. Like its predecessor, the Honor V9 will keep the 5.7-inch TFT display screen alongside a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
Under the hood, the phone will ship with the flagship HiSilicon Kirin 960 octa-core processor, the same unit that came with the high-end Huawei Mate 9. The processor will also be paired with a flagship RAM of 4GB or 6GB alongside onboard storage of 64GB. If this is not enough for your storage needs, the Huawei Honor V9 will include a microSD card slot that can accommodate up to 128GB. As usual with most Chinese smartphones, the Honor V9 will come in with support for dual-SIM connectivity.
In terms of photography, the Huawei Honor V9 will ship with a dual-lens camera setup on the back that resembles the Honor 6X – a 12MP lens alongside another 2MP lens. The front has an 8MP lens for selfies and video calls. There will be Android 7.0 Nougat running the show out of the box and to keep the phone alive, Huawei went for a massive 4000mAh battery.
As noted earlier, the Huawei Honor V9 has no official release date, but the latest report claims that it will be released very soon with a price tag of CNY 2,699 ($393).
