There is a new Huawei Honor device that has made a stop at China’s TENAA and it carries model number DUK-TL30. While the listing on TENAA gives out vital information about the looks, specs, and features of this Honor phone, it doesn’t specify the phone’s name.
A closer look at the specs of the leaked Honor DUK-TL30 smartphone, it appears that it could be the successor to the Huawei Honor V8. Whether Huawei will go the Honor V8 Plus way or take the Honor V9 direction is still unknown, but we have the most important details – the specs.
From the listing, the supposed Huawei Honor V9 will come with a magnificent 5.7-inch TFT display screen with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Under the hood, the phablet will be powered by an octa-core processor clocked at a speed of 2.4GHz and this will be paired with a huge 6GB RAM. Like the name of the phone, the processor model is unknown, but we won’t be surprised if a Kirin 960 SoC shows up.
There will be 128GB of internal storage on this Huawei Honor V9 and users who see this as not enough can still get a microSD card of similar capacity. Like other 2017 phones, the supposed Honor 8 successor will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
Huawei has been rolling out all kind of phones with dual-lens cameras, be it high-end, midrange or even low-end phones. With this in mind, TENAA images show that the upcoming Huawei Honor V9 will also take this direction and ship with a 12MP+2MP dual-lens camera on the back and an 8MP shooter on the front. There will be a huge 3900mAh battery to keep the show running and you also get a fingerprint mounted on the back panel.
In terms of design, the rumored Huawei Honor V9 measures 157mm tall and 6.97mm thick. It also weighs 184g and will be sold in a gold color variant.
Huawei will be at the upcoming MWC 2017, but since it has always treated Honor as a subsidiary, we expect the latter to launch this phone in a separate event. We’ll let you know when this happens. Keep following!
