Though the Huawei P10 will be launching only next month, new renders show a curved display with the fingerprint sensor on the front of the device.
Some press renders have been viewed in China recently. There are rumors regarding a P10 Plus as well, but nothing has been confirmed as yet.
The announcement regarding the Huawei P10 is still one month away, but some new press renders have just been leaked. There are two images of the smartphone on the front side, with a third one of the rear. If the images are to be believed, it seems that Huawei has decided to place the fingerprint sensor for its P10 on the front. It will probably be located beneath the Home Button.
The rear side shows a dual setup for camera, using the Leica lens. The lens was first seen in the P9, the earlier flagship smartphone of Huawei. In addition, the camera comes with dual LED flash features beside the camera and also comes with laser autofocus feature.
It is expected that the Huawei P10 will come with a dual edge, curved screen display of 5.5 inches. It will offer support for a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The model is similar to the P9, Huawei’s earlier flagship device. However, the change in the Huawei P10 is that in this case the fingerprint sensor is not in the back, but placed in the front of the smartphone.
There are some rumors claiming that two models of the Huawei P10 will be released. However, the company has not confirmed this. If there is to be a P10 Plus release, it will probably come with the same specs as the Huawei P10, but the display might be bigger. The upcoming Huawei P10 is already creating a buzz due to its premium design and the high end specs. The manufacturer has announced that it is aiming at launching the P10 in the MWC, which will be held about five weeks later.
Based on the renders and the video of the Huawei P10, it can be seen that the device is slim, with the rear as well the dual curved display being symmetrical with the curve. The bezels are not accented too much, as the upper and lower bezels are quite different, as compared to the earlier model, the Huawei P9.
There are some changes on the rear, with the panel being completely covered in glass. The dual camera setup is present, but the LED flash is a little different coming in a round shape. The module for laser focus has also been removed. The audio jack of 3.5 mm continues to remain along with the USB Type C port and the speaker grille.
Based on the images, it is seen that customers can opt for at least two colors, the black and the white colors. In case of the white version, it seems to have a golden tinge on the rear.
