iPhone 17e Major Specs Tipped Ahead of Launch

Apple is working on including the iPhone 17e in its upcoming iPhone 17 series.

It will be the most affordable smartphone in the lineup. A new leak now reveals almost all major details about the handset.

The leak appeared like a Weibo post by the noteworthy tipster Digital Chat Station, who is known for accurate predictions most of the time.

Going by the post, the smartphone will have a 6.1-inch OLED display. The low-power display will support a refresh rate of 60 Hz. It will also incorporate the brand’s standard Dynamic Island design.

In the camera department, the handset will have two cameras. These include the main camera on the back with a 48 MP resolution and the selfie camera on the front with a 12 MP resolution and 3D facial recognition support.

As for the processor, like the base and Air variants, the iPhone 17e will house the manufacturer’s A19 processor under its hood. The RAM and storage details have not been revealed at this point.

In related news, the iPhone 16e received a very good response from the public. It emerged as a successful replacement for the SE model. The smartphone recorded 11% of the iPhone sales in the United States in the June 2025 quarter. This is more than double the sales of the SE model last year, which recorded just 5% sales.

The iPhone 17e is anticipated to have significant overall design changes. It is slated that the handset will be the most affordable in the iPhone 17 lineup.

While all other smartphones in the series will break cover globally in September this year, the iPhone 17e is expected to have a delayed launch and will see the light of day next year.
