Every smartphone enthusiast might be fixed on the release of Samsung Galaxy Note 7, but it appears that the Korean tech giant has something else in store for us.
Back in April, we reported that Samsung might be working on a Galaxy S7 Edge+ handset, however, later rumors have consistently insisted that the company could as well be coming in with a curved dual-edge Galaxy Note 7. But as it seems, the tech giant is not yet done with its Galaxy S7 series. If this indeed happened, it wouldn’t be a surprise considering the company did the same with last year’s Galaxy S6 Edge+, a phone that had the same everything with the Galaxy Note 5 apart from the curved dual-edge display and a missing S-Pen stylus.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge+ release, in case it happens, will probably take place alongside the Galaxy Note 7, just like with the case last year. A new report backing the release of this phone features a set of accessories that are aimed at the Galaxy S7 Edge+. These accessories include screen protectors as well as skins for the S7 Edge+, however, they are listed as “out of stock” as at the time of this writing. This is, of course, because the phone they are intended for is not yet available. But would it make more sense to have them listed as “coming soon?” Of course yes, but maybe the company doesn’t want to spill out everything just yet.
This leak doesn’t confirm anything regarding rumored Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge+, however, it only but improves the chances of such a phone ever happening. Just like with the case last year where the Galaxy S6 Edge+ had everything else the same as the Galaxy S6 Edge apart from the size of the screen, the story is expected to repeat for this year’s version. The S6 Edge+ mimicked the size of the Galaxy Note 5 and it is expected to do the same this year.
Rumors are pointing towards a slightly larger 5.8-inch screen for the Note 7, which might be the same size the Galaxy S7 Edge+ comes out with.
Even though nothing has been confirmed, the phone might probably show up at the same Unpacked event to be held on August 2, during which the Galaxy Note 7 is expected to be announced.
