A while ago, details of the Moto G5 Plus emerged showing off the phone in full glory alongside the full list of specifications and features.
Apparently, this leaked Moto G5 Plus could be set for a release in South America’s Brazil on March 7, 2017. This comes from a fresh leak that bears the same image that was teased before alongside the alleged specs of the G5 Plus. Apparently, the new leak shows that Motorola will launch the phone in Sao Paulo, a city in Brazil, but it doesn’t confirm whether or not this phone will be the rumored Moto G5 Plus.
Motorola is expected to make the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus official at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2017 in Spain, an event that will be held starting February 27 up to March 2. Although the Chinese-owned company will be at the event, there is still no confirmation that the G5 series will be unveiled at this event. But the rate at which leaks and rumors are flying around, it is possible that this will be the case.
As for the specs and features, the recent listing confirmed that the Moto G5 Plus will ship with a 5.2-inch display screen with a Full HD resolution and protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass technology. Under the hood, the phone will upgrade from Snapdragon 617 of the G4 to a new Snapdragon 625. This will be paired with a RAM of 2GB alongside onboard storage of 64GB.

The Moto G5 Plus is also said to come with an IP67-rated dust and water resistant body, the best 12MP camera in its class as well as an all-day 3000mAh battery unit that supports TurboPower charging technology. The front camera will come with a 5MP sensor and like last year, a fingerprint scanner will be mounted on the front-facing home button.
Whether Lenovo will unveil the Moto G5 Plus in other markets at around the same time or not is still unknown. In fact, this whole thing is not yet confirmed and as such, take it with a pinch of salt, at least until after the MWC 2017. Stay tuned and we’ll update you with the latest news.
