Xiaomi has built its name in selling very powerful smartphones that are built from premium materials and hardware specs, but somehow, the Chinese OEM manages to keep the prices very affordable.
The latest flagship smartphone we expect from the company is Xiaomi Mi 6 and like the Mi 5S, this one will get a Plus variant. We have seen a number of leaks and rumors about the Mi 6 flagship, but nothing has come out with respect to price of the phone. This makes the latest report something new, but it also adds more weight to previous reports about the phone’s hardware configuration.
As opposed to what had been mentioned in prior reports, that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will have a MediaTek variant, the new report only shows off details of a Snapdragon 835-powered Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus. Where the standard model will have either a 4GB RAM or 6GB RAM, the Plus variant is set to come in with even more, boasting a third 8GB RAM variant, similar to the ZenFone AR.
The entry-level Xiaomi Mi 6 will be paired with 32GB and this will one will you set you back CNY 1999, which is about $290. The next standard Mi 6 in line keeps the same RAM but doubles the storage and for this, you get to pay CNY 2299 or about $335. The high-end Mi 6 has a RAM of 6GB and once again doubles the storage of the former, coming in with 128GB. This one will be priced at CNY 2699 or about $390.
Coming over to the high-end Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus, the latest report claims that the entry-level model, which will carry 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, will be valued at CNY 2599 or about $380. The next model will carry 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, coming in at a price of CNY 2999 or $435 while the high-end Mi 6 Plus variant with a massive 8GB RAM and 256GB storage will reportedly be priced at just CNY 3499, which translates to about $510.
As you can see, these are just unbeatable prices for phones that will pack the same – and even better – hardware specs as the Galaxy S8 and S8+, phones that will reportedly be priced at about $799 and $899, or even more.
