Leaks: OnePlus 3 May Have a Promising Front Camera

OnePlus 3 Front Camera

The OnePlus 3 is almost certain to arrive in the next few weeks with latest leaks clearly showing the device already planning to run on the android N operating system.

The OnePlus 2 has been a tremendous success worldwide, as it showed that the company can sustain its success over generations and not just be a one style horse. The OnePlus 3 leaks also showed that the phone may come with a very capable front camera even while not disclosing the details of the same.

None other than OnePlus’ CEO published a sample image of the front camera on Weibo. Even though the picture appeared to be blurry, it seemed to be simply a case of human error more than anything else. OnePlus CEO Liu Zuohu later confirmed that the image was indeed shot from theOnePlus 3’s front camera.

Fans of OnePlus are not expecting huge changes in terms of internal specifications, but a new design for the upcoming high-end smartphone is certainly on the agenda. OnePlus 3 is planning to satisfy those fans by coming with a design, which may be largely on the lines of the HTC One M9.

Aspects like the display are expected to be largely similar. Rumors suggest that the OnePlus 3 will come with a 5.5 inch display with full HD resolution. These are identical specifications to the current OnePlus 2. A snapdragon 820 processor is expected to be at the heart of the OnePlus 3. The OnePlus 2 was offered in only 16 GB and 64 GB variants. The upcoming model may ditch the 16 GB version altogether, but only if it wants to get rid of the very low starting price. In its place, the phone may come with a 32 GB starting variant.

The absence of NFC in the OnePlus 2 was a major surprise, but the upcoming generation is expected to provide the feature if leaks are anything to go by. It is still not clear whether the phone will come with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM. Either way, there should be more than sufficient RAM to make the OnePlus 3 as a proper competitor for phones expected to be priced twice as much. It also remains to be seen if the OnePlus 3 will require invites, which have been regarded by many as an irritant. The phone is expected to be available in the middle of June.
