LeEco Le 2 64GB Variant Launched in India at Rs. 13,999

LeEco Le 2

Indians started seeing the LeEco Le 2 somewhere in June 2016 and even though the phone was launched in two variants, the market only received the 32GB model.

As at the time of this writing, the LeEco Le 2 is valued at Rs. 11,999, but there is a new 64GB model in town that is valued at Rs. 13,999. This is great news for LeEco fans in India, but given that the company recently acknowledged the stunted growth it has been having in the region, it remains to be seen how the market will respond to the latest entrant.

The Le 2 is already selling in India and it is currently exclusive to Snapdeal. However, there is only one color option available – Rose Gold – yet the original LeEco Le 2 came in with four color options that include Gold, Grey, and Silver. There should be more color variants coming in, but this could depend on the market response with respect to this initial model.

In order to attract more buyers of the phone, Snapdeal has a discount of 5% for anyone who is willing to pay for the LeEco Le 2 via a debit or credit card. Making the purchase will also earn you a free LeEco membership, otherwise valued at Rs. 4,990.

In terms of specs and features, the LeEco Le 2 has a roomy screen with 5.5 inches of display and Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. While there is a variant of the Le 2 that is powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 processor, the model in question here has an octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor on board. This is paired with an Adreno 510 GPU and a RAM of 3GB. As noted, the storage stands at 64GB, but there is no room for microSD card storage.

Camera-wise, the Le 2 has a capable 16MP snapper on the back with an aperture of f/2.0, PDAF and dual-tone LED flash. You get an 8MP snapper on the selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. The battery that keeps the phone alive has 3000mAh and supports fast charging technology (Quick Charge 2.0) from Qualcomm. There is a fingerprint scanner on the back, USB-C, no 3.5mm headphone jack and LTE connectivity, among other standards.
