Sometimes back in October 2016, LeEco unveiled a new Le S3 smartphone that came in with a dual-lens camera setup on the back. Well, it appears that the tech giant has something new for the Chinese market in the shape of a LeEco Le 2S Dual.
According to the latest leaks, the supposed LeEco Le 2S Dual will join the Le S3 in shipping with a dual-lens camera on the back. In fact, the phone carries a Le 2S Dual moniker (for the camera) and unsurprisingly, it has a price tag of just 1000 Yuan, which is equivalent to about $144.
From the looks of things, the new LeEco Le 2S Dual has just about the same looks as the Le S3. The fingerprint is on the back alongside a dual-lens camera as well as a LED flash, but the specs under the hood are not the same. Apparently, the Le 2S Dual will ship with an Helio X25 processor that has 10 cores and this will be paired with a Mali-T880 MP4 graphics unit. As for the display specs, you get a decent 5.5-inch screen, but the resolution is still unknown. The dual-lens camera setup is said to come with two 13MP lenses while the front has a 12MP sensor for selfies. LeEco is known for its excellent smartphone designs and apparently, the looks of the phone will take something from the Le 2S, at least when it comes to the antenna design.
There is still no word on when LeEco Le 2S Dual will see the light, but now that it has made an appearance in online stores, it shouldn’t be long before the company makes it public. There is also no word on the global availability of the handset. It would be a welcome phone in some other parts of the world, especially if it manages to keep the same price of just under $150.
