The Lenovo-owned Zuk Company has recently unveiled a new, powerful smartphone dubbed the Zuk Z2 Pro. With this device, you will have nothing but 2016 smartphone flagship specs in a brand that less known to the world.
Last December, Zuk unveiled the Zuk Z1, which happened to be its first offering in the smartphone world. The good side of the story is that just like many other Chinese companies, the Zuk Z2 Pro has an amazing price tag for a smartphone that ticks all the boxes as far as this year’s smartphone flagships are concerned.
As you all may be feeling now, Zuk is a new name in the handset industry, but it definitely worth looking at. The Zuk Z2 Pro has a spectacular metal design that features very thin bezels. The phone also comes with a flagship profile that is worth taking on the likes of Samsung Galaxy S7, LG G5 and HTC 10, among other top 2016 smartphones. The phone packs the latest Snapdragon 820 SoC from Qualcomm, an Adreno 530 GPU and has two variants when it comes to RAM.
The Zuk Z2 Pro Standard Edition has the same 64-bit processor under the hood and a RAM of 4GB. This variant offers a storage option of 64GB. The Super AMOLED screens are ultra-bright when it comes to display and it is backed by a decent 3100mAh battery unit to ensure that the phone’s long usage.
The rear of the Zuk Z2 Pro has a 13MP snapper that is equipped with optical image stabilization and has an aperture of f/1.8. The sensor has larger pixel sizes of 1.34µm, which ensure more light is taken in for better photography when in poor lighting conditions. The front-facing camera has an 8MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.0 and pixel sizes of 1.4µm. This snapper promises great selfies as well as excellent video calling.
To help you quickly fill up the 3100mAh battery unit of the Z2 Pro is Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology. Further, the phone also comes with the latest USB Type-C technology to ensure that the charging is even faster. The physical home button plays home to the phone’s fingerprint sensor, but the phone has a total of 10 sensors, among them a heart rate monitor.
There is no mention of the version of Android OS on board the Zuk Z2 Pro, but it is probably Marshmallow. As far as the pricing is concerned, the Lenovo-backed company only shared details about the Exclusive Edition. The phone will sell for around $416, which is a decent pricing for a phone that packs the same hardware specs as what other 2016 flagships come with.
