Best Buy is selling the ZTE Axon 7 Mini at a discounted price of just $249.98, meaning you save $50 by buying the phone through the retailer rather than going through the official ZTE website.
The Chinese company introduced the ZTE Axon 7 Mini a while ago and the phone came in to take care of those who like compact phones, but the asking price might scare away some potential buyers, especially when looking at the brand name. During Black Friday 2016, the tech giant sold the same Axon 7 Mini at a discount of $50, but as you all know, this special shopping period is no more.
If you did not manage to take advantage of the $50 discount on Black Friday, Best Buy has got you covered. In fact, the giant American retailer will be selling the ZTE Axon 7 Mini for the said price of $249.98 for several days, up until December 10. Unlike the official ZTE website where you only get to buy the Platinum Gray variant, the folks at Best Buy have another Ion Gold variant selling at the same discounted price as well.
In terms of specs, the ZTE Axon 7 Mini is indeed a smaller version of the high-end Axon 7, featuring a 5.2-inch AMOLED screen as opposed to the 5.5-inch panel found on the flagship model. The screen has a Full HD resolution and under the hood, you get a weaker Snapdragon 617 SoC that is clocked at a speed of 1.5GHz and is paired with a RAM of 3GB. The phone comes with an expandable storage of 32GB.
On camera matters, you will find a 16MP sensor on the back of the ZTE Axon 7 Mini while the front has an 8MP snapper. Just below the rear camera is a fingerprint scanner that promises better security with your phone. To keep the device running, there is a decent 2705mAh battery that promises up to 15 hours of talk time. You also get support for fast charging technology that helps fire the battery from 0-50% in just half an hour.
Android Marshmallow powers the ZTE Axon 7 Mini out of the box and while the high-end Axon 7 will be updated to Android Nougat in January, there is no confirmation for the Axon 7 Mini. Still, this device should also receive the update at some point next year.
Be warned that the ZTE Axon 7 Mini model being sold by Best Buy only supports GSM carriers, meaning those using Verizon and Sprint are not part of this deal. But as for the rest of the group, including AT&T and T-Mobile, the field is yours. Hurry while the deal still lasts.
