Early this year, an alleged leaked Meizu roadmap came in suggesting that the Meizu Pro 7 will be unveiled somewhere in June 2016.
The leak went ahead to add that the Meizu Pro 7 will be powered by a MediaTek Helio X30 processor when it finally comes out. However, according to new reports surfacing from India, it seems the Chinese OEM has different ideas.
Apparently, an Indian retailer has listed the Meizu Pro 7 up for sale. The listing confirms the specs of the phone, the price as well as the specific release date in the country. Even though an image of the alleged Meizu phone is also included, its size makes it difficult to see how exactly the phone has been designed. Still, you can notice a bezel-less front panel (sides), with the display seemingly curving into these edges.
In terms of specs, the listing confirms that the Meizu Pro 7 will ship with a 5.6-inch Full HD display screen, but there are no specifics of whether it will be an LCD or AMOLED panel. Under the hood, the upcoming Pro 7 will be equipped with a deca-core processor that is clocked at a speed of 2.5GHz. This processor will then be paired with a massive RAM of 6GB alongside an onboard storage of 64GB.
The report goes ahead to share highlights on some of the unique features of the Meizu Pro 7 and apparently, it is not just the 6GB RAM, but also the 8MP shooter on the front camera. As for the main snapper, the phone will also come with a monstrous 21MP snapper, but the features are not confirmed. To keep it alive, Meizu will pack a 3000mAh battery unit that supports Quick Charging technology.
While you’ll find a fingerprint scanner on the phone, the listing confirms that there is no waterproofing. The device also disappoints when it comes to software, coming in with Android Marshmallow, but an upgrade to Android Nougat is expected in future.
In terms of price, the Meizu Pro 7 has been listed at a price of Rs 31,999, which is about $475 and as it is, the phone will be here as from February 20th.
