Microsoft Surface Pro 4, Surface Book or HP Spectre X360 – The Best MacBook Pro 2016 Alternatives

MacBook Pros 2016

The MacBook Pro 2016 is a laptop anyone would relish working with, however, like many other Apple products, many are put off by the huge asking price, even for the base model that comes without the magic bar.

But if you are out there looking for a great laptop that can be a good stand-in for the MacBook Pro 2016, we have your back. Whether it is an alternative to the low-end model or the high-end variant, we have a list of three solid alternatives that should fill the void left by the “untouchable” MacBook Pro 2016.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4

Microsoft’s Surface lineup is a tough competitor to Apple’s MacBook lineup and this is even getting better this Black Friday. There is a huge $400 discount on the Surface Pro 4, meaning you only need $599.99 to grab yourself this wonderful device. This deal is available at Best Buy and for sure, it is one of those deals that many would kill to get. The Surface Pro 4 packs an impressive 6th-gen Intel Core M3 chipset, but it slightly smaller in size (12.3 inches) when compared to the entry-level MacBook Pro 2016. You still get a decent resolution of 2736 x 1824 pixels alongside support for touch-based commands. There is a storage of 128GB SSD as well as a detachable keyboard, but this accessory is sold separately.

HP Spectre X360

The HP Spectre X360 has a usual price tag of $1,399.99, but this Black Friday, you can have it for $400 less when purchased via Best Buy. Like the MacBook Pro 2016, you will love the build quality of the Spectre X360 laptop. It is very thin, light and made of aluminum all through. The best part of it is that you can get it a discounted price.

The 13.3-inch Spectre X360 comes with a QHD resolution on its touch screen and under the hood, you get a 6th-gen Skylake Intel Core i7 chipset that is paired with a RAM of 16GB and there is onboard storage of 512GB, twice the offering on the MacBook Pro 2016. Isn’t this a great deal at just $999? If not, check this one out.

Microsoft Surface Book

Microsoft has a deal on the Surface Book, but not the latest version. Priced at $1,249, it means you save $250 off the normal price when you buy the device from the official Microsoft Store. Unlike the MacBook Pro 2016, the Surface Book is detachable, meaning you can separate the display and the keyboard, leaving you with a tablet.

Boasting a 13.5-inch screen size with a resolution of 3000 x 2000 pixels, the Microsoft Surface Book is packed with a 6th-gen Intel Core i5 chipset that is paired with a RAM of 8GB and an SSD of 128GB. The Windows OS maker also adds a Surface Pen on top of this already magnificent device. The company has also slashed the price of the high-end model by up to $400, meaning you get it for $1,499, but this is still costly, at least when not compared to the MacBook Pro 2016.
