Titled the Ender Update 1.0, Minecraft developers explain in brief as why they choose to name is as version 1.0. Being a survival game, the title throws in a lot of obstacles and challenges at its players from time to time. People have already spent thousands of hours in this seemingly large world which never ceases to exist. However, no game is complete without a big boss fight and a satisfying end to it. While the world of Minecraft will always be open for adventure lovers and survival specialists, the Ender Update brings in the Ender Dragon. Taking it down is going to be the ultimate goal and the fitting finale for players who enjoy the game.

“While the Ender dragon is a terribly misunderstood beast, winning it is what survival gamers would love and they can continue to explore the world hours after the boss fight. This is the end of a huge phase but the beginning of many more things to come. We didn’t name it as Minecraft Ender Update 1.0 just for the lols but rather to show that this is a new beginning,” read the official Mojang blog.

The Ender update will be rolled out to PCs as well as Windows 10 Edition beta, Pocket Edition before finding its way to the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 consoles. Along with this update, Mojang is about to make a bunch of welcome additions and changes to the game to make it play better. The overall world height will be increased to 256 blocks allowing more creative minds to work together. The Elytra will be introduced allowing players to smoothly glide around the world. For those of you who don’t know what Elytra is, they are just wings that can be used to glide and enjoy the landscape from the sky.
