The developer announced that Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.16 update is not going to go live after all as the team has to fix a couple more bugs before rolling it out.
Minecraft is developed by Mojang for PC while 4J Studios handles the console versions of the game. The mobile version is handled by an entirely new division and one of the developers in the team, Tommaso Checchi announced that they are not able to finish the 0.16 update in time. It was supposed to be out today but the crew found that a lot of bugs are supposed to be ironed out. Instead of rolling out the update and having a bug fix update later, they decided to postpone the launch date to facilitate an easy rollout.
Minecraft Pocket Edition has been going on a steady pace and this time, the new update is supposed to bring a lot of bosses to the game. For players who love to fight powerful enemies and enjoy basking in the glory, this boss update is a must try. The version will add the Elder Guardian, Ocean Monuments, Wither and all other items related to the boss battles.
According to the developer’s official post, these are supposed to be the first step towards making Minecraft a more customizable game on the mobile platforms. Players will have more control over various aspects of the game. It will be more immersive, engaging and fun to play with made possible by the custom settings.
Once Minecraft Pocket Edition receives the 0.16 update, the game will have all-new slash commands. Using the feature, players can change the time in the game, the weather, change blocks, teleport to a location of their choice, summon mobs and do a wide range of tasks. Each one of them are simple tasks but they add a whole new level of immersion to the game. After all, when you can control every aspect it makes Minecraft more addictive than it already is.
The developer team commented that they might have to spend couple of more days in fixing the bugs and releasing the 0.16 update. While it is a short wait, it is easily worth your time because such big updates are supposed to be rolled out as a finished product. When you have bugs in this one which is supposed to allow lots of customization and gameplay modifications, it could be irking. So, it’s worth the time spent in polishing the game.
