The Moto E3 was recently announced by Motorola and its official release is expected to take place this fall. However, this was only confirmed for the UK market.
In the latest report, the same Moto E3 has apparently received FCC certification in the U.S., an indicator that the handset might be released around the same period as in the UK.
If AndroidSoul is to be believed, the Moto E3 (XT1607) will be released in the U.S. somewhere this September. According to the leaked documentation, the upcoming Moto E third generation smartphone will feature a removable battery unit as well as an onboard storage of just 16GB. But of course, there will be support for microSD card expansion to ensure that those who are after larger storage can get what they want. Still, there is no mention of whether the Moto E3 will come with a high-end variant probably with more onboard storage, but this is highly likely.
Being an entry-level handset, the Moto E3 will reportedly come with a 5-inch display screen that packs a screen resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels. Given its screen size and market value, this should be a decent screen. As for the camera, you get an 8MP on the back and a 5MP on the front. Lenovo will probably go for a Quad-core processor and a RAM of 2GB while the removable battery will be sizeable at 2,800mAh.
There’s Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box
As pointed out earlier, the Moto E3 has already been announced in the UK. Here, the smartphone comes with a Snapdragon 410 SoC (quad-core) that is paired with a 2GB RAM. As for the software, you get the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, but of course, the company’s software is also in the mix.
Other than the increased display screen size from 4.5 inches to 5 inches, you will also notice some other huge improvements of the Moto E3 over the Moto E2 or rather Moto E 2nd Gen. For instance, there is a newer Corning Gorilla Glass 4 screen protector on the display screen of the Moto E3 while the Moto E2 has Gorilla Glass 3. You also get a better processor, double the RAM as well as storage available on the Moto E 2nd Gen.
As for the price of the Moto E3, it is valued at about $132 in the UK, which should be around the same price when it comes to the U.S. As for now, the specific day of September that Motorola will release the phone in the U.S. market is still unknown.
