Motorola has always been in the forefront when rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update and other latest versions of the operating system.
Keeping up with the quick trend of rolling out updates, the Moto G4 Plus is finally receiving the big update. Customers who are in the United States and own an unlocked version of the smartphone will start receiving the update from now on. The soak test for the phone was first initiated by Republic Wireless which has now reached its final stages. The G4 Plus XT1644 will be updated to the latest version of Android available in the market.
Users who have already received Nougat on their phones confirmed that it is about 741 MB in size and brings an array of new features to make the phone more fun to use. The features include notification replies where you can simply swipe down the notification and reply to any person without having to open the app, multi-window mode and an improved version of Doze.

Phones like the Moto Z and the Moto Z Play came bundled with the option to reduce the size of the screen for easy one handed use. Such an option is now available by default on all Android 7.0 Nougat devices. If you are already using the unlocked G4 Plus, make sure to watch out for the notification update that will bring your phone on par with all 2017 models as well as the Pixel by offering a unified experience.

So far, the Nougat update has been well received by users around the globe. It also brought with it the ability to clear all open apps with a single touch. When you browse through the list of open apps, a clear all button will pop up at the end of the list. Just click on it to clear them all and your phone will be free of RAM usage making it as snappy as it has always been. Compared to the newly launched Moto G5 Plus, the G4 Plus is not the best in class phone because it sports an entry level processor.
However, if you are to consider its amazing large display, resolution and the fingerprint scanner, it is much easier to use multi-window mode on the phone than the 5.2-inch display found in the newly launched model. The G4 Plus sports a 5.5-inch display making it easy to keep two apps open on Nougat and browse through them individually without any difficulty. Besides, the one hand mode comes in handy when you have to access stuff without using both hands.
