Motorola Razr 50s Gets HDR10+ Certification; It’s The Cheaper Foldable in the Razr Series

Motorola launched the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra globally way back in June and launched the Razr 50 in India on September 9th.

A new listing has now been spotted on the HDR10+ certification website indicating that the manufacturer is planning to add one more smartphone to the foldable series, namely Motorola Razr 50s.

The listing only highlights the moniker of the smartphone as Motorola Razr 50s and its display tech. As the model name has not appeared anywhere before this, No other details or specifications of the smartphone are available at the moment even in the form of rumors, leaks, or speculations. However, the smartphone is likely to appear shortly on Geekbench and other certification websites soon with further details.

Going by past trends, the “s” in the moniker hints at a “lite” or a more reasonably priced model in the manufacturer’s Razr 50 lineup. Motorola could have downgraded some key specifications to keep the foldable smartphones at an affordable price. However, things could turn out to be the other way around and the new handset may be an upgraded variant of the Razr 50.

Motorola Razr 50 Specifications

The foldable Motorola Razr 50 has a clamshell profile. The smartphone boasts of a 6.9-inch pOLED internal foldable screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This main display offers up to 3000 nits peak brightness. The handset also has a smaller 3.6-inch external pOLED screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate and 1700 nits maximum brightness. Both displays support LTPO technology, 10-bit color, and HDR10+.

Under the hood, the Razr 50 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X SoC chipset and houses a 4200 mAh battery with 15 W wireless and 30 W fast charging.

In the camera department, the handset features a 50 MP main camera with OIS along with a 13 MP ultra-wide or macro camera. There is a 32 MP sensor with 4K UHD video capture capability in the front.

The Motorola Razr 50 also comprises dual stereo speakers, three microphones, spatial sound, and Dolby Atmos.
