One of the much discussed rumors about the upcoming Apple iPhone 7 is the lack of a headphone jack along with a dual camera setup.
Latest rumors, which have surfaced to just a few months before the launch of the device in September, claim that the Apple iPhone 7 may turn out with a headphone jack after all. This would come as a major surprise given that almost all the rumors seemed to have confirmed the opposite. However, this rumor becomes believable since Apple may reportedly decide to postpone the availability of the dual camera set up since they have not yet perfected feature.
In the recent times, the company has come under a large amount of criticism for coming out with solutions that only add to the problem. Apple maps is a perfect example, as the company moved completely in favor of this element by ditching Google maps. Their version of mapping, however, proved to be false on a number of aspects and Apple became a laughing stock.
One of the main reasons for Apple doing away with the 3.5 mm headphone jack may be their search for design perfection. At present, the iPhone is one of the thinnest phones in the market, but there is a possibility to go down to just 5 mm if the phone does not have any headphone jack. Since this feature has become an integral part of our daily lives over the last decade, Apple has been highly skeptical about losing this feature. If the iPhone 7 was to come out with no support for the headphone jack, it is a distinct possibility that the phone will be supplied with accessories like the lightning port that will in turn be used to connect to the headphones.
This would seriously limit the user’s ability to use other headphones, but Apple has had success in the past with some tough decisions. It remains to be seen if they come out on the winning side once again. Once again, there will be a lot of difference between the starting price and the final price. Based on the prices, it may also be possible to get an iPhone with 256 GB of storage. Apple is reportedly working on this insane amount of memory largely because it does not support memory cards. The competition provides excellent support to this aspect and Apple will find it hard to sell their products at a much higher price.
