The removal of content will, most likely, not go down well with fans.
Rockstar Games has just eliminated 23 series and modes from Grand Theft Auto Online. This particular change was brought to the fore as a part of the freshly launched GTA Online weekly update. As a part of its latest weekly update, the game has washed its hands off 23 series and modes. This particular update was rolled out on August 22. The new patch marked the arrival of four GTA Online Adversary Modes and 19 Series ended up getting removed from the game. The new modes that have been added are Assault on Cayo Perico, Bunker, Casino, and Missile Base Adversary Modes. On August 15, Rockstar had dropped a hint about this content getting removed. The gaming company had stated that it was planning to start rotating select Modes and Racing Series.
The update, launched on August 22, eliminated 23 missions and added just a new mission. The new addition happens to be the Assault on ATT-16 Adversary Mode. Rockstar stated that it wanted to work towards matchmaking and that is one of the reasons why the practice of rotating missions was introduced. The gaming company further stated that it arrived upon the decision to start rotating Modes and Series to create more space for new GTA Online content.
At the moment, there is no clarity on whether the missions, that have been removed, will be reintroduced in the game in the near future. Many fans have taken to social media to express their displeasure at the missions being removed. Some of the fans are of the opinion that Rockstar has plans to reinstate the removed missions in the form of GTA+ membership exclusives. Till now, Rockstar has not spoken about any such plan.
