HMB Global has just launched the Nokia 6 and it hasn’t been confirmed when exactly the phone will start selling, but new info about the second Nokia phone dubbed Nokia E1 has surfaced thanks to Nokia Power User.
Where the Nokia 6 comes in with a 5.5-inch 1080p display screen, has a Snapdragon 430 processor paired with a RAM of 4GB and 64GB of expandable internal storage, the upcoming Nokia E1 will be an entry level phone with slightly less powerful specs.
According to the leaks, the Nokia E1 will be smaller in size, featuring a 5.2-inch or 5.3-inch display screen with a lower resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels compared to the 1920 x 1080 pixels of the Nokia 6. Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 425 SoC that is clocked at a speed of 1.4GHz and is paired with half the RAM of the already-launched model. You get an Adreno 308 graphics processing unit and a smaller storage package of just 16GB, but like its counterpart, the Nokia E1 will also come with support for microSD card storage. There is Android 7.0 Nougat to power the phone out of the box.
The back of the phone will carry a 13MP camera while the front panel will feature a 5MP selfie shooter. Since this is an early leak of specs and features of the Nokia E1, there is still no details regarding the price or even the availability of the phone.
The just-launched Nokia 6 is said to be a China-exclusive version and it will be sold at about $245. Whether this upcoming E1 will also be market-specific or not is still debatable, but we should get to know more details very soon.
With the next mobile event taking place from February 27th – the MWC 2017 – don’t be surprised to see the Finnish companies – Nokia and HMG Global – coming in with several other smartphones and tablets based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
