New images and specs have resurfaced on the Nokia D1C, hinting at device being powered by the Android Nougat 7.0 version that will come preinstalled on the device.
The Nokia D1C will probably be announced at the CES to be held next month at Las Vegas. This is a yearly trade show that is held from the 5th of January to the 8th of January. However, the launch date has not been specified till now.
Nokia Returns
Some new images have been leaked again about the Nokia D1C. The new smartphone from Nokia marks the return of the company to the business, after acquisition by Microsoft in the year 2014. Nokia had entered a non compete clause in this transaction, which compelled the company to stay out of the market till now.
Two Versions
It is rumored that there will be two versions of the Nokia D1C, with one being a budget device and the other a flagship one. However, both the devices of the Nokia D1C will have the Nougat 7.0 Android OS pre installed on them.
Images Leaked
An image has been seen of the budget model of the Nokia D1C. The picture seems to have been shot in some manufacturing unit, with gloves being visible in the picture. The budget model of the Nokia D1C will probably be powered by the Snapdragon 600 chip and will have a RAM of 4GB, combined with 64GB of internal storage.
Other Sketches
Some other sketches have also been leaked of the budget range as well as the flagship device. From these, it can be surmised that the budget range Nokia D1C will come with a smaller 5 inches display screen, whereas the higher end version will have a screen of 5.5 inches. However, both the devices will have the same resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Apart from the screen size there is not much difference between the two variants of the Nokia D1C. The higher end device will have a fingerprint scanner on the front, whereas the budget device will probably not have this feature.
Curiosity and Buzz
There is a lot of curiosity and buzz surrounding the release of the Nokia D1C. Some renders of images that were leaked in Weibo suggest that the new Nokia smartphone will be available in Gold and Black as well as in White colors. It will probably have two hardware variants, a RAM of 3 GB and a fingerprint sensor. It will come with the Android Nougat 7.0 version operating system.
The two phones will come with a camera of 13 MP in the rear and 8 MP in the front. The Nokia D1C will have the octa core, 1.4 GHz, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chip powering it, combined with the graphics card, Adreno 505 GPU and the Cortex A53 CPU.
Expected Price
The Nokia D1C with the RAM of 2GB is expected to cost around $150, whereas the higher end device with a RAM of 3 GB will cost more at around $200, according to leaks.
