Nokia G50 could be the company’s next affordable 5G phone.
Last week, we saw leaked renders of the phone as well as several key specifications. Today, we have spotted the Nokia G50 5G on Geekbench which gives us more details about the phone.
According to the Geekbench listing, Nokia G50 5G is powered by Qualcomm SM4350 SoC which we know as Snapdragon 480 chipset. The listing confirms that there will be a 4GB RAM variant, and the device is likely to be offered in more RAM options.
The device boots Android 11 out of the box. When benchmarked on Geekbench v5, Nokia G50 5G managed to pull off decent 509 points in the single-core test and 1,560 points in the multi-core test.
Leaked renders shared by German publication Winfuture.de revealed that the phone has a circular camera module. The camera island consists of 3 sensors and an LED flash. The company’s branding can be seen in the middle of the back panel. Nokia G50 might come in two color options – Midnight Sun and Blue.
On the front, the device has a teardrop notch to house the selfie shooter. The bezels are pretty much thick at the bottom than at the bottom. Again, we have Nokia branding on the bottom bezel. The phone can be seen housing a power button and volume rockers on the right side. The fingerprint scanner is integrated with the power button. On the left side, there’s an additional button that is likely to work as an assistant button.
Coming to the specifications part, Nokia G50 5G is said to have a 6.38-inch LCD display with 720 x 1560 pixels HD+ resolution. The triple camera setup on the back may be backed by a 48MP primary shooter. The phone may house a 4,850mAh battery. Rumors are that Nokia G50 will be made available in two memory configurations – 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB.
As of now, Nokia has not revealed anything about the Nokia G50 5G like its pricing, availability, or launch date. However, rumors surrounding the device suggest that the device may launch in September 2021.
