A new Nokia smartphone with the moniker Nokia XR20 has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking website.
The listing confirms that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 480 5G chipset which was released just a few months ago. The device is found to have 4GB RAM and Android 11 OS with scores of 510 and 1227 for its performance.
Snapdragon 480 belongs to the budget-friendly 4-series processors from Qualcomm. This is the first 5G-enabled chipset in the series. More phones that will be released in 2021 can be expected to be powered by this chipset.
Snapdragon 480 5G is an 8nm processor and comes with an integrated X51 5G Modem. It offers support to mmWave and Sub-6 GHz networks as well. The octa-core processor has Kyro 460 performance cores which are based on Cortex A76 and clock up to 2GHz speed. The Cortex A55 cores which are energy-efficient work at 1.8GHz speed. It has Adreno 619 GPU and supports Quick Charge 4+. It will also support WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1
The processor promises a 2X increase in GPU and CPU performance when compared to the 11-nm Snapdragon 460 chipset in the same series. AI tasks are expected to be 70% faster as well.
Nokia Phone & Tablet Models in EEC
Three new Nokia devices with model numbers Nokia TA-1392, TA-1397 and TA-1400 have been spotted in Russia’s EEC certification database yesterday. All these models have been spotted for the first time and we have no details about these model numbers or their monikers. They certainly belong to the upcoming Nokia phones that will be released later this year.
Interestingly, Nokia TA-1392 and TA-1397 are supposedly upcoming Nokia tablets and they are not smartphones. TA-1400, however, belongs to a smartphone.
Nokia C20 Plus will be launched today in China. A few days ago, the company released its render showcasing the rear side of the device. The phone has already appeared on quite a few certification websites already and has revealed its specs as well.
