It’s now evident that the OnePlus 5T is indeed a thing. After a series of rumors and speculations, more tangible details of the phone are now beginning to emerge and the latest comes courtesy of notorious leaker Evan Blass.
The release of the upgraded OnePlus 5T will be a follow-up to what happened last year, where the company released an upgraded OnePlus 3T, with the original OnePlus 3 having been on the market for just five months.
We’ve seen several images and renders of the OnePlus 5T, but the latest comes from a trusted source with years of experience in the business. In fact, Blass’ latest leak gives us the closest look at what a gorgeous display screen the 5T is coming with, but it only highlights the top section of the screen. Still, this alone is enough to give us an idea of what to expect on the front panel of the 5T.

At the top, there’s a front-facing camera, flush speaker grill as well as a couple of sensors and just below this bezel, you’ll love the screen. According to rumors, the panel will be a massive 6-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and Blass’ render does little to contradict this. The bezels on the edges are visibly smaller compared to the OG 5 and even though you won’t be getting a screen-to-body ratio that is similar to the likes of Samsung Galaxy S8 or even the LG V30, this is still a massive step compared to anything else the company has made before. Although not as pronounced as what other devices have, the leak also shows the OnePlus 5T display will come with curved corners.
Recent reports had suggested that OnePlus 5T will be unveiled on November 16th and start selling on November 20th. We can’t verify these dates, but looking at what happened last year with the OnePlus 3T, we may be a few weeks away from getting the immediate successor to the OnePlus 5, which was released in June.
